Fans at Wednesday's non-league contest between the Lake Marion Gators (Santee, SC) and the visiting Lakewood Gators (Sumter, SC), saw Lake Marion's volleyball team overcome Lakewood by a tally of 3-1.
The Gators (6-7) will now prepare for their test against Whale Branch (Beaufort, SC). The Warriors go into the AA Region 5 test with a 3-13 record. In their last test, Whale Branch gained a win over Edisto (Cordova, SC), 3-1, in a league test.
The Gators now sport a 0-12 record. They play next when they host Lake Marion for a non-league challenge on Monday, October 6. Lakewood will play a Gators team coming off a 3-2 league loss to Whale Branch (Beaufort, SC). The Gators record now stands at 6-7.
