Fans at Wednesday's league contest between the Pilot Rock Rockets (Pilot Rock, OR) and the host Nixyaawii Community Eagles (Pendleton, OR), observed Pilot Rock's volleyball team top Nixyaawii Community by a count of 3-0.

The Rockets (6-8) will now prepare for their contest against Lyle/Wishram (Lyle, WA). The Cougars enter the non-league contest with a 2-5 record. In their last contest, Lyle/Wishram notched a victory over Bickleton (Bickleton, WA), 3-0, in a league contest.

Next, the Eagles battle the Echo Cougars (Echo, OR) in a 1A Old Oregon battle, on Thursday, October 2. Nixyaawii Community will attempt to improve on its 0-5 season record.
