In Monday's league battle, the host Charleroi Cougars soccer squad scored a close 4-2 win over the Waynesburg Central Raiders.
The Cougars (8-6) will now prepare for their battle against South Allegheny (McKeesport, PA). The Gladiators go into the WPIAL A 2 battle with a 5-8 record. In their last battle, South Allegheny nipped Bethlehem Center (Fredericktown, PA), 2-0, in a league battle.
