Mountain Ridge Miners (Frostburg, MD) fans were pleased Monday as they observed their soccer team prevail over the visiting Fort Hill Sentinels (Cumberland, MD), 4-0 in a league challenge.

Next, the Miners confront the Clear Spring Blazers (Clear Spring, MD) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, October 15. Mountain Ridge will attempt to better on its 10-1 season record. The Blazers enter the challenge with a 0-4 record after their 4-0 non-league loss to Hedgesville (Hedgesville, WV).

The Sentinels now have a 0-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Southern for a Appalachian Mountain Athletic Conference challenge on Thursday, October 13. Fort Hill will confront a Rams team coming off a 7-0 non-league win over Frankfort (Ridgeley, WV). The Rams record now stands at 4-6.
