The crowd at Monday's non-league bout between the Parry McCluer Fighting Blues (Buena Vista, VA) and the visiting Riverheads Gladiators (Staunton, VA), saw Parry McCluer's volleyball squad nip Riverheads by a tally of 2-1.

With the win, Parry McCluer upgrades its record to 2-3 on the year. The Fighting Blues travel to Alleghany (Covington, VA) to play the Mountaineers in a non-league bout on Monday, October 17. The Mountaineers go into the bout with a record of 4-1.

The Gladiators now own a 3-8 record. They play next when they travel to Staunton for a non-league bout on Thursday, October 13. Riverheads will play a Storm squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Wilson Memorial (Fishersville, VA). The Storm record now stands at 3-9.
