The Mountaineers (1-8) will now prepare for their battle against Owen (Black Mountain, NC). The Warhorses go into the Western Highlands 1A/2A battle with a 11-2 record. In their last battle, Owen nipped Draughn (Valdese, NC), 9-0, in a league battle.

The Patriots (2-8) will now prepare for their battle against Mountain Heritage (Burnsville, NC). The Cougars go into the Western Highlands 1A/2A battle with a 7-0 record. In their last battle, Mountain Heritage nipped Avery County (Newland, NC), 4-1, in a league battle.
