Illinois High School Volleyball - Abingdon/Avon can't hold off Biggsville West Central

In Monday's league battle, the host Biggsville West Central Heat volleyball team scored a tight 2-1 triumph over the Abingdon/Avon Tornadoes.

The Heat (8-19) will now prepare for their battle against Annawan (Annawan, IL). The Braves come into the Lincoln Trail battle with a 23-3 record. In their last battle, Annawan nudged Monmouth United (Monmouth, IL), 2-0, in a league battle.

Next, the Tornadoes encounter the Wethersfield Flying Geese (Kewanee, IL) in a Lincoln Trail battle, on Wednesday, October 12. Abingdon/Avon will attempt to advance on its 5-17 season record. The Flying Geese come into the battle with a 18-6 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Rockridge (Taylor Ridge, IL).
