With the win, George Wythe upgrades its record to 10-4 on the year. The Maroons host Grayson County (Independence, VA) to face the Blue Devils in a non-league outing on Thursday, October 12. The Blue Devils go into the outing with a record of 13-3. Grayson County lost 2-1 in their recent non-league outing against Auburn (Riner, VA)

The Pioneers now own a 8-3 record. They play next when they travel to Galax for a non-league outing on Thursday, October 12. Fort Chiswell will face a Maroon Tide squad coming off a 3-2 non-league win over Bland County (Rocky Gap, VA). The Maroon Tide record now stands at 4-13.
