The Gates County Red Barons volleyball team (Gatesville, NC), was dropped 2-0 in Tuesday's non-league challenge with the visiting Perquimans Pirates (Hertford, NC)

The Pirates (15-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Camden County (Camden, NC). The Bruins enter the non-league challenge with a 10-2 record. In their last challenge, Camden County defeated Hertford County (Ahoskie, NC), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Red Barons meet the Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech Griffins (Elizabeth City, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, October 12. Gates County will attempt to move on its 1-9 season record. The Griffins enter the challenge with a 2-9 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Currituck County (Barco, NC).
