With the win, Northern Guilford upgrades its record to 17-0 on the year. The Nighthawks travel to Grimsley (Greensboro, NC) to play the Whirlies in a non-league bout on Thursday, October 12. The Whirlies go into the bout with a record of 9-2.

The Hornets now own a 7-8 record. They play next when they travel to Ragsdale for a non-league bout on Thursday, October 12. Western Guilford will play a Tigers squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Southwest Guilford (High Point, NC). The Tigers record now stands at 6-13.
