The crowd at Tuesday's league bout between the Buckingham Knights (Buckingham, VA) and the host Nottoway Cougars (Nottoway, VA), saw Buckingham's volleyball squad nip Nottoway by a score of 3-2.

The Knights now have a 7-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Nelson County for a non-league test on Wednesday, October 11. Buckingham will confront a Governors team coming off a 3-1 league win over William Campbell (Naruna, VA). The Governors record now stands at 6-9.

The Cougars (6-8) will now prepare for their test against Lunenburg Central (Victoria, VA). The Chargers enter the James River test with a 10-4 record. In their last match, Lunenburg Central tipped Randolph-Henry (Charlotte Court House, VA), 3-0, in a league match.
