North Carolina High School Volleyball - Mount Airy over Elkin

The Mount Airy Granite Bears (Mount Airy, NC) volleyball overcame the host Elkin Buckin' Elks (Elkin, NC), 3-0 in Tuesday's league outing.

With the win, Mount Airy upgrades its record to 14-9 on the year. The Granite Bears host Alleghany (Sparta, NC) to face the Trojans in a Northwest 1A outing on Thursday, October 12. The Trojans go into the outing with a record of 16-5. Alleghany won 3-0 in their recent league outing against Starmount (Boonville, NC)

The Buckin' Elks now own a 4-17 record. They play next when they host South Stokes for a Northwest 1A outing on Thursday, October 12. Elkin will face a Sauras squad coming off a 3-2 league loss to North Stokes (Danbury, NC). The Sauras record now stands at 8-11.
