Next up, the Mustangs face the Venus Bulldogs (Venus, TX) in a 4A Region II District 10 contest, on Thursday, October 12. Life Waxahachie will attempt to better on its 13-12 season record. The Bulldogs go into the contest with a 5-28 record after their 3-0 league loss to Alvarado (Alvarado, TX).

With the loss, Hillsboro moves to 13-21 on the year. The Eagles travel to Ferris (Ferris, TX) to face the Yellowjackets in a 4A Region II District 10 contest on Friday, October 13. The Yellowjackets go into the contest with a record of 21-8. Ferris lost 3-0 in their recent league contest against Godley (Godley, TX)
