The Lubbock Westerners volleyball team (Lubbock, TX), was dropped 3-0 in Tuesday's league challenge with the visiting Lubbock-Cooper Pirates (Lubbock, TX)
The Pirates (26-11) will now prepare for their challenge against Coronado (Lubbock, TX). The Mustangs enter the 5A Region I District 4 challenge with a 15-24 record. In their last challenge, Coronado defeated Palo Duro (Amarillo, TX), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Westerners meet the Abilene Eagles (Abilene, TX) in a 5A Region I District 4 battle, on Friday, October 13. Lubbock will attempt to advance on its 7-21 season record. The Eagles come into the battle with a 11-22 record after their 3-2 league loss to Monterey (Lubbock, TX).
