The Phelps Hornets volleyball team scored 1 points and limited the visiting Piarist Knights to 0 in the Hornets non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Hornets now have a 3-14 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mingo Central for a non-league game on Thursday, October 12. Phelps will meet a Miners team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Poca (Poca, WV). The Miners record now stands at 8-16.
The Knights (0-6) will now prepare for their game against Red Bird (Beverly, KY). The Cardinals enter the non-league game with a 4-10 record. In their last game, Red Bird was nudged by Pineville (Pineville, KY), 2-0, in a non-league game.
