With the win, Lakeland advances its record to 5-11 on the season. The Cavaliers host Western Branch (Chesapeake, VA) to face the Bruins in a Southeastern test on Tuesday, October 15. The Bruins go into the test with a record of 9-4. Western Branch won 3-1 in their recent league test against King's Fork (Suffolk, VA)

The Hornets now sport a 5-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Great Bridge for a Southeastern test on Tuesday, October 15. Deep Creek will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 3-2 league win over Hickory (Chesapeake, VA). The Wildcats record now stands at 8-7.
