The Bishop Ireton Cardinals edged the visiting St. John's Cadets volleyball squad by a final score of 2-1 in Thursday's league game.
Next up, the Cardinals confront the The Academy of the Holy Cross Tartans (Kensington, MD) in a non-league game, on Wednesday, October 16. Bishop Ireton will attempt to advance on its 1-1 season record.
The Cadets (10-4) will now prepare for their game against Bishop O'Connell (Arlington, VA). The Knights go into the game with a 0-1 record. In their last game, Bishop O'Connell was edged by St. John's (Washington, DC), 2-0, in a league game.
