In Thursday's non-league challenge, the host Randolph-Henry Statesmen volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Buckingham Knights.
The Statesmen (10-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Lunenburg Central (Victoria, VA). The Chargers come into the non-league challenge with a 13-2 record. In their last challenge, Lunenburg Central edged Prince Edward County (Farmville, VA), 2-1, in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Knights play the William Campbell Generals (Naruna, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, October 14. Buckingham will attempt to upgrade on its 5-5 season record.
