The Eastside Spartans edged the visiting Rye Cove Eagles volleyball squad by a final score of 2-1 in Thursday's non-league game.
Next up, the Spartans face the Gate City Blue Devils (Gate City, VA) in a non-league game, on Monday, October 14. Eastside will attempt to advance on its 7-0 season record. The Blue Devils go into the game with a 4-3 record after their 2-1 non-league win over John Battle (Bristol, VA).
The Eagles (5-6) will now prepare for their game against Virginia High (Bristol, VA). The Bearcats go into the non-league game with a 1-5 record.
