Fans at Thursday's league battle between the Mercer Mustangs (Mercer, PA) and the host Commodore Perry Panthers (Hadley, PA), saw Mercer's soccer squad triumph over Commodore Perry by a score of 10-0.

The Mustangs (9-7) will now prepare for their battle against Wilmington (New Wilmington, PA). The Greyhounds enter the District 10 Region 1 battle with a 10-4 record. In their last battle, Wilmington ran past Sharpsville (Sharpsville, PA), 4-0, in a league battle.

Coming up next, the Panthers encounter the West Middlesex Big Reds (West Middlesex, PA) in a District 10 Region 1 challenge, on Monday, October 14. Commodore Perry will attempt to better on its 2-11 season record. The Big Reds go into the challenge with a 6-10 record after their 8-0 league win over Kennedy Catholic (Hermitage, PA).
