Fans at Thursday's league battle between the Deming Wildcats (Deming, NM) and the visiting Silver Fighting Colts (Silver City, NM), saw Deming's soccer squad knock off Silver by a count of 3-1.

The Wildcats (8-8) will now prepare for their battle against Santa Teresa (Santa Teresa, NM). The Desert Warriors enter the 4A District 3 battle with a 11-4 record. In their last battle, Santa Teresa tipped Chaparral (Chaparral, NM), 6-0, in a league battle.

Next up, the Fighting Colts confront the Alamogordo Tigers (Alamogordo, NM) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, October 12. Silver will attempt to upgrade on its 9-4 season record. The Tigers enter the battle with a 5-9 record after their 8-0 league loss to Centennial (Las Cruces, NM).
