In Thursday's league outing, the host Hibriten Panthers soccer squad scored a tight 4-1 victory over the South Caldwell Spartans.

The Panthers (12-3) will now prepare for their outing against Alexander Central (Taylorsville, NC). The Cougars go into the Northwestern 3A/4A outing with a 9-3 record. In their last outing, Alexander Central got by Freedom (Morganton, NC), 8-0, in a league outing.

Next up, the Spartans confront the Ashe County Huskies (West Jefferson, NC) in a Northwestern 3A/4A outing, on Monday, October 14. South Caldwell will attempt to improve on its 6-5 season record. The Huskies go into the outing with a 8-4 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Oak Hill Academy (Mouth of Wilson, VA).
