Mt. Pleasant Vikings (Mt. Pleasant, PA) boosters exited the stadium pleased Thursday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Southmoreland Scotties (Alverton, PA), 6-1 in a league test.

With the triumph, Mt. Pleasant moves its record to 12-5 on the campaign.

The Scotties now sport a 6-8 record. They take the field next when they host Yough for a non-league test on Tuesday, October 15. Southmoreland will clash with a Cougars team coming off a 1-0 league loss to Waynesburg Central (Waynesburg, PA). The Cougars record now stands at 4-9.
