Peru Nighthawks (Peru, NY) boosters exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they witnessed their soccer team beat the visiting Saranac Spartans (Saranac, NY), 5-1 in a league test.

With the triumph, Peru moves its record to 10-0 on the campaign. The Nighthawks host Saranac Lake (Saranac Lake, NY) to meet the Red Storm in a non-league test on Friday, October 11. The Red Storm come into the test with a record of 5-6. Saranac Lake lost 2-0 in their recent non-league test against Northeastern Clinton (Champlain, NY)

The Spartans now sport a 7-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Canton for a non-league test on Monday, October 14. Saranac will meet a Golden Bears team coming off a 4-1 league win over Franklin Academy (Malone, NY). The Golden Bears record now stands at 3-1.
