The Silex Owls softball squad (Silex, MO), was edged 7-6 in Thursday's non-league contest with the visiting Union Wildcats (Union, MO)
With the triumph, Union improves its record to 19-6 on the year. The Wildcats host Capital City (Jefferson City, MO) to face the Cavaliers in a contest on Monday, October 14. The Cavaliers enter the contest with a record of 10-16.
The Owls now hold a 15-18 record. They play next when they travel to Wright City for a Class 3 District 6 contest on Friday, October 11. Silex will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 10-0 league win over Van-Far (Vandalia, MO). The Wildcats record now stands at 12-17.
