In Thursday's league challenge, the host Lake Marion Gators volleyball team scored a 3-1 triumph over the Edisto Cougars.

The Gators (9-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Barnwell (Barnwell, SC). The Warhorses come into the A Region 7 challenge with a 10-3 record. In their last challenge, Barnwell beat Edisto (Cordova, SC), 3-1, in a league challenge.

Next, the Cougars meet the Orangeburg-Wilkinson Bruins (Orangeburg, SC) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, October 14. Edisto will attempt to upgrade on its 0-12 season record. The Bruins come into the challenge with a 24-8 record after their 3-0 league loss to Oceanside Collegiate Academy (Mt. Pleasant, SC).
