The Essex Hornets volleyball team scored 3 points and restricted the host Rice Memorial Green Knights to 0 in the Hornets league triumph on Thursday.
The Hornets now have a 12-0 record. They play next when they travel to Champlain Valley Union for a Northern outing on Tuesday, October 15. Essex will play a Redhawks team coming off a 3-2 league win over St. Johnsbury Academy (St. Johnsbury, VT). The Redhawks record now stands at 9-3.
With the loss, Rice Memorial drops to 0-11 on the campaign. The Green knights host South Burlington (South Burlington, VT) to play the Wolves in a Northern outing on Tuesday, October 15. The Wolves come into the outing with a record of 1-10.
