In Thursday's non-league challenge, the host South Lancaster Academy Crusaders volleyball team scored a 3-0 victory over the Fitchburg Red Raiders.
The Crusaders (6-10) will now prepare for their challenge against Groton-Dunstable (Groton, MA). The Crusaders enter the non-league challenge with a 10-6 record. In their last challenge, Groton-Dunstable beat North Middlesex Regional (Townsend, MA), 3-1, in a league challenge.
Next, the Red Raiders meet the Burncoat Patriots (Worcester, MA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, October 15. Fitchburg will attempt to upgrade on its 1-14 season record. The Patriots enter the challenge with a 14-1 record after their 3-2 non-league win over Blackstone-Millville (Blackstone, MA).
