In Thursday's league challenge, the host Merced Bears volleyball team scored a 3-1 triumph over the Golden Valley Cougars.
The Bears (12-10) will now prepare for their challenge against Buhach Colony (Atwater, CA). The Thunder come into the Central California Conference challenge with a 13-11 record. In their last challenge, Buhach Colony lost by Los Banos (Los Banos, CA), 3-2, in a league challenge.
Next, the Cougars meet the Atwater Falcons (Atwater, CA) in a Central California Conference challenge, on Tuesday, October 15. Golden Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 3-16 season record. The Falcons come into the challenge with a 18-5 record after their 3-1 league loss to El Capitan (Merced, CA).
