In Thursday's league challenge, the host Katella Knights volleyball team scored a close 3-2 triumph over the Santa Ana Saints.

The Knights (15-18) will now prepare for their challenge against Animo South Los Angeles (Los Angeles, CA). The Panthers come into the non-league challenge with a 2-9 record. In their last challenge, Animo South Los Angeles was nudged by Middle College (Los Angeles, CA), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Saints play the Port of Los Angeles Polar Bears (San Pedro, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, October 12. Santa Ana will attempt to upgrade on its 11-18 season record. The Polar Bears come into the challenge with a 11-7 record after their 3-0 league win over Harbor Teacher (Wilmington, CA).
