In Thursday's league challenge, the host Mitchell/Spray/Wheeler volleyball team scored a close 3-2 triumph over the Sherman Huskies.

The (17-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Ione/Arlington (Ione, OR). The Cardinals come into the 1A Big Sky challenge with a 16-5 record. In their last challenge, Ione/Arlington was nudged by South Wasco County (Maupin, OR), 3-0, in a league battle.

The Huskies now own a 12-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Union for a non-league battle on Saturday, October 12. Sherman will encounter a Bobcats squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Joseph (Joseph, OR). The Bobcats record now stands at 14-6.
