In Thursday's league challenge, the visiting Sauk Centre Mainstreeters volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Montevideo Thunderhawks.

The Mainstreeters (16-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Melrose (Melrose, MN). The Dutchmen come into the West Central challenge with a 11-16 record. In their last challenge, Melrose was beaten by West Central Area (Barrett, MN), 3-1, in a league challenge.

Next, the Thunderhawks meet the Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta Tigers (Morris, MN) in a West Central challenge, on Tuesday, October 15. Montevideo will attempt to upgrade on its 1-16 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 4-17 record after their 3-0 league win over Benson (Benson, MN).
