The Newport Grizzlies volleyball team scored 3 points and restricted the visiting Priest River Spartans to 1 in the Grizzlies non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Grizzlies now have a 5-7 record. They play next when they travel to Mary Walker for a non-league outing on Saturday, October 12.
With the loss, Priest River drops to 8-6 on the campaign. The Spartans host Grangeville (Grangeville, ID) to play the Bulldogs in a 3A Central Idaho outing on Saturday, October 12. The Bulldogs come into the outing with a record of 8-7.
