The Tishomingo County Braves volleyball squad (Iuka, MS), was edged 3-2 in Thursday's non-league battle with the visiting Newton County Cougars (Decatur, MS)

With the win, Newton County improves its record to 32-4 on the season. The Cougars travel to New Albany (New Albany, MS) to encounter the Bulldogs in a non-league battle on Monday, October 14. The Bulldogs go into the battle with a record of 27-7.

The Braves now own a 18-6 record.
