Fans at Thursday's league contest between the St. Paul Swordsmen (Santa Fe Springs, CA) and the host San Gabriel Mission Pioneers (San Gabriel, CA), observed St. Paul's volleyball team top San Gabriel Mission by a count of 3-0.

The Swordsmen (15-9) will now prepare for their contest against St. Bernard (Playa del Rey, CA). The Vikings enter the Santa Fe contest with a 2-14 record.

Next, the Pioneers battle the Serra Cavaliers (Gardena, CA) in a Santa Fe contest, on Tuesday, October 15. San Gabriel Mission will attempt to move on its 5-18 season record. The Cavaliers enter the contest with a 1-13 record after their 3-0 league loss to Pomona Catholic (Pomona, CA).
