In Thursday's non-league challenge, the visiting Somerville Highlanders volleyball team scored a 3-1 triumph over the Waltham Hawks.

The Highlanders (10-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Everett (Everett, MA). The Crimson Tide come into the Greater Boston challenge with a 5-9 record. In their last challenge, Everett was beaten by Lawrence (Lawrence, MA), 3-1, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Hawks meet the Lincoln-Sudbury Warriors (Sudbury, MA) in a Dual County challenge, on Wednesday, October 16. Waltham will attempt to upgrade on its 1-11 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 12-3 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Ashland (Ashland, MA).
