The Ellwood City Wolverine football squad scored 48 points and limited the visiting Riverside Panthers to 14 in the Wolverine league triumph on Friday.
The Wolverine now sport a 4-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Union Area for a WPIAL AA Midwestern test on Friday, October 17. Ellwood City will clash with a Scotties squad coming off a 20-14 league loss to Freedom Area (Freedom, PA). The Scotties record now stands at 0-7.
With the defeat, Riverside drops to 4-4 on the campaign. The Panthers host Beaver Falls (Beaver Falls, PA) to face the Tigers in a WPIAL AA Midwestern game on Friday, October 17. The Tigers enter the game with a record of 4-4. Beaver Falls won 39-24 in their recent league game against New Brighton (New Brighton, PA)
