Mississippi High School Football - Winona nips Noxubee County

October 10, 2025: Macon, MS 39341

The crowd at Friday's league bout between the Winona Tigers (Winona, MS) and the host Noxubee County Tigers (Macon, MS), saw Winona's football team nip Noxubee County by a tally of 31-26.

The Tigers (3-4) will now prepare for their contest against PURE Academy (Memphis, TN). The Royals enter the non-league contest with a 3-5 record. In their last contest, PURE Academy got by Holly Springs (Holly Springs, MS), 50-6, in a non-league contest.

Coming up next, the Tigers confront the Choctaw County Chargers (Ackerman, MS) in a 3A Region 4 bout, on Friday, October 17. Noxubee County will attempt to advance on its 4-3 season record. The Chargers go into the bout with a 5-2 record after their 43-8 league win over Aberdeen (Aberdeen, MS).
