California High School Football - St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy knocked off by Paraclete

In Friday's league game, the Paraclete Spirits (Lancaster, CA) football squad knocked off the host St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy Warriors (Downey, CA), by a margin of 38-29.

The Spirits now sport a 6-1 record. They take the field next when they host Cathedral for a Angelus game on Friday, October 17. Paraclete will battle a Phantoms team coming off a 41-13 league win over Bishop Alemany (Mission Hills, CA). The Phantoms record now stands at 3-4.

The Warriors (3-4) will now prepare for their game against St. Paul (Santa Fe Springs, CA). The Swordsmen enter the Angelus game with a 1-6 record. In their last game, St. Paul notched a victory over St. Francis (La Canada, CA), 21-16, in a league game.
