In Friday's league challenge, the visiting Amarillo Sandies volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Lubbock Westerners.
The Sandies (27-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Tascosa (Amarillo, TX). The Rebels come into the 5A Region I District 3 test with a 24-9 record. In their last test, Tascosa gained a win over Monterey (Lubbock, TX), 3-0, in a league test.
The Westerners now sport a 3-29 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lubbock-Cooper for a 5A Region I District 3 test on Tuesday, October 14. Lubbock will face a Pirates squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Caprock (Amarillo, TX). The Pirates record now stands at 21-10.
