Texas High School Volleyball - Meridian edged by Itasca

The Meridian Yellowjackets volleyball squad (Meridian, TX), was edged 3-2 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Itasca Wampus Cats (Itasca, TX)

With the win, Itasca moves its record to 13-12 on the year. The Wampus Cats host Frost (Frost, TX) to battle the Polar Bears in a 2A Region II District 13 contest on Tuesday, October 14. The Polar Bears enter the contest with a record of 6-11.

Next, the Yellowjackets battle the Rio Vista Eagles (Rio Vista, TX) in a 2A Region II District 13 battle, on Tuesday, October 14. Meridian will attempt to improve on its 7-15 season record. The Eagles go into the battle with a 23-10 record after their 3-2 league loss to Italy (Italy, TX).
