Fans at Friday's league contest between the Yorktown Wildcats (Yorktown, TX) and the host Pettus Eagles (Pettus, TX), observed Yorktown's volleyball team hold off Pettus by a count of 3-2.

The Wildcats (2-18) will now prepare for their contest against Falls City (Falls City, TX). The Beavers enter the 2A Region IV District 28 contest with a 23-11 record. In their last contest, Falls City got by McMullen County (Tilden, TX), 3-0, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Eagles battle the Kenedy Lions (Kenedy, TX) in a 2A Region IV District 28 contest, on Tuesday, October 14. Pettus will attempt to improve on its 3-21 season record.
