Greely Rangers (Cumberland Center, ME) fans were thrilled Tuesday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting Freeport Falcons (Freeport, ME), 1-0 in a league challenge.

Next, the Rangers face the Yarmouth Clippers (Yarmouth, ME) in a Class B - South challenge, on Saturday, October 15. Greely will attempt to better on its 8-4 season record. The Clippers enter the challenge with a 9-4 record after their 1-0 league win over York (York, ME).

The Falcons now have a 5-6 record. They take the field next when they host Poland for a Class B - South challenge on Friday, October 14. Freeport will face a Knights team coming off a 1-0 league loss to Fryeburg (Fryeburg, ME). The Knights record now stands at 2-10.
