The crowd at Tuesday's non-league bout between the Bunker Hill Bears (Claremont, NC) and the visiting Newton-Conover Red Devils (Newton, NC), saw Bunker Hill's volleyball squad beat Newton-Conover by a tally of 3-1.

With the win, Bunker Hill upgrades its record to 1-11 on the year. The Bears host Bandys (Catawba, NC) to play the Trojans in a non-league bout on Thursday, October 13. The Trojans go into the bout with a record of 6-4.

The Red Devils now own a 5-6 record. They play next when they host Maiden for a non-league game on Thursday, October 13. Newton-Conover will meet a Blue Devils team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Lincolnton (Lincolnton, NC). The Blue Devils record now stands at 15-2.
