The crowd at Tuesday's non-league bout between the Swain County Maroon Devils (Bryson City, NC) and the visiting Cherokee Braves (Cherokee, NC), saw Swain County's volleyball squad beat Cherokee by a tally of 2-0.

With the win, Swain County upgrades its record to 9-8 on the year. The Maroon Devils travel to Robbinsville (Robbinsville, NC) to play the Black Knights in a non-league bout on Thursday, October 13. The Black Knights go into the bout with a record of 2-7. Robbinsville lost 2-0 in their recent league bout against Hayesville (Hayesville, NC)

The Braves now own a 7-12 record. They play next when they travel to Murphy for a non-league bout on Thursday, October 13. Cherokee will play a Bulldogs squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Andrews (Andrews, NC). The Bulldogs record now stands at 6-4.
