In Tuesday's league battle, the host Garner Trojans volleyball team scored a tight 2-1 triumph over the Clayton Comets.
The Trojans (16-3) will now prepare for their battle against Corinth Holders (Wendell, NC). The Pirates come into the battle with a 14-3 record. In their last battle, Corinth Holders nudged Willow Spring (Fuquay-Varina, NC), 2-0, in a non-league battle.
Next, the Comets encounter the Willow Spring Storm (Fuquay-Varina, NC) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, October 13. Clayton will attempt to advance on its 4-11 season record. The Storm come into the battle with a 2-12 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Corinth Holders (Wendell, NC).
