In Tuesday's non-league contest, the Grayson County Blue Devils (Independence, VA) volleyball squad knocked off the host Galax Maroon Tide (Galax, VA), by a margin of 2-0.

Next up, the Blue Devils battle the Bland County Bears (Rocky Gap, VA) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, October 13. Grayson County will attempt to better on its 3-7 season record. The Bears come into the contest with a 1-12 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to George Wythe (Wytheville, VA).

With the loss, Galax drops to 5-6 on the campaign. The Maroon tide travel to Fort Chiswell (Max Meadows, VA) to battle the Pioneers in a non-league contest on Wednesday, October 12. The Pioneers come into the contest with a record of 7-3.
