The Gouverneur Wildcats held off the host Tupper Lake Lumberjacks volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Wildcats now have a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Canton for a non-league test on Friday, October 14. Gouverneur will confront a Golden Bears team coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Massena (Massena, NY). The Golden Bears record now stands at 3-1.
The Lumberjacks (3-8) will now prepare for their test against Ogdensburg Free Academy (Ogdensburg, NY). The Blue Devils enter the non-league test with a 0-4 record. In their last test, Ogdensburg Free Academy was nudged by Tupper Lake (Tupper Lake, NY), 2-1, in a non-league test.
