Alamo Navajo Cougars (Magdalena, NM) backers left the game in high spirits Tuesday as they observed their volleyball squad top the visiting Magdalena Steers (Magdalena, NM), 3-0 in a non-league match.

Next up, the Cougars battle the Hondo Valley Eagles (Hondo, NM) in a 1A District 3 match, on Friday, October 14. Alamo Navajo will attempt to better on its 9-5 season record. The Eagles come into the match with a 5-9 record after their 3-2 league win over Carrizozo (Carrizozo, NM).

With the loss, Magdalena drops to 6-8 on the campaign. The Steers host Quemado (Quemado, NM) to meet the Eagles in a 1A District 2 game on Thursday, October 13. The Eagles enter the game with a record of 12-3. Quemado lost 3-2 in their recent league game against Mesilla Valley Christian School (Las Cruces, NM)
