North Carolina High School Volleyball - Newton-Conover over Bunker Hill

The crowd at Tuesday's league bout between the Newton-Conover Red Devils (Newton, NC) and the host Bunker Hill Bears (Claremont, NC), saw Newton-Conover's volleyball squad beat Bunker Hill by a tally of 3-1.

With the win, Newton-Conover upgrades its record to 8-9 on the year. The Red Devils host Maiden (Maiden, NC) to play the Blue Devils in a Catawba Valley Athletic 2A bout on Thursday, October 13. The Blue Devils go into the bout with a record of 15-6. Maiden won 3-0 in their recent league bout against Lincolnton (Lincolnton, NC)

The Bears now own a 5-14 record. They play next when they host Bandys for a Catawba Valley Athletic 2A bout on Thursday, October 13. Bunker Hill will play a Trojans squad coming off a 3-0 league win over West Caldwell (Lenoir, NC). The Trojans record now stands at 14-6.
